こんにちは、EMSコーディネーターのクラベルです。
今日は私の27歳の誕生日です。でも今年はコロナ感染のために家族親戚を呼んでのパーティを開くことができません。（※1）
でも神様は私により良い年を過ごせる機会をくださいました。これから両親と弟との小さな誕生日の食事会をします。
お母さんと一緒に近所の家族のために食糧を準備しました。（※2）そしてコロナの陽性者が出た家族にも食糧を準備しました。
私の今年の誕生日の願い事は私たちがコロナから通常の生活にもどること。そしてEMSの奨学生に会っていままでの活動を続けることが早くできることです。
いまできることとして、オンラインで奨学生とつながりできる活動を続けています。今年の末か、来年の始めには実際にみんなに会いたいです。
これからも子供たちの学力向上や成長のためのできることを続けてます。困難な時でも前向きにすごしていけるように。
子供たちが実際に（オンラインの課題を通じて）成長していることを確認することができるのがうれしいです。
奨学生はオンラインの課題を毎回頑張ってこなします。このコロナ禍の大変な時期にどのように生活していたかをお互いに話会える日がくることを楽しみにしています。本当に早く私たちが望む生活に戻ることを願います。

（※1）フィリピンでは誕生日はとても特別です。家族、親戚、友人を呼んでパーティをすることでお祝いをします。
（※2）自分の誕生日には、近所の家族などに料理した食糧を提供するのがフィリピンの習慣です。
だから、誕生日は自身の出費が多いのです。
Good day!
I am Clavel Allego from Cebu Philippines and an assistant coordinator of EMS.
Today, marks one of the special days of my life because I am celebrating my 27th birthday. I must say it's very different since I can't celebrate it with my big family because of the current situation we are in right now.
However, I am still thankful to our Almighty Father for giving me another year to d better in life. We are going to have a very small party with my parents and brother. We prepared some foods.
My mom and I packed some food for the neighborhood and for the family whose father is positive of the Covid19. I think this makes my day extra special because I was able to share my blessings to others especially to those who are affected by the COVID19.
My only wish for my birthday is that we can all go back to our normal situation. I don't know yet when we can meet the scholars physically and do the usual activities that we do.
But we keep on updating them through online and give them some activities to do also. Hopefully, we can meet them later this year or early next year. Time will tell.
Of course, I will continue to help them to improve in their studies and in their personal aspects. Motivates them that life must go on despite all the challenges we are facing. I am actually happy to see the improvements of the scholars despite having the activities online.
They are really doing great each time. I can't wait to see them and exchange our life stories during this pandemic time. I hope that everything will be back to normal and we can live the life that we want.
