12月5日に私の田舎で従妹のウエディングに参加しました。神父と従者がつく、スペシャルなウエディングでした。
フィリピンには二通りの結婚式があります。（※）シビルウエディングと教会結婚式です。
私の友人の多くは教会結婚式を希望していますが、コロナの影響でシビルウエディングをせざるを得ない人たちが多いのです。
従妹の結婚しきは素晴らしかったです。私は従者のひとりとして参加しました。教会の中での厳粛なセレモニー、ホストとの和気あいあいとしたレセプションパーティなど、本当にすばらしいものでした。
でも、もちろん私たちはコロナ感染の防止の安全対策を講じなけばいけません。例えば会場に入る前には体温チェックと消毒が必要です。
会場に入ることができる人数も制限されます。
結婚式は無事に終わりました。みなさん本当に幸せでした。私も従妹のことを本当にうれしくおもいました。
新郎は私の従妹の初めての（そして最後の！）ボーイフレンドでしたから。
2つの家族が一緒になる愛のあふれた素晴らしい時間でした。
（※）シビルウエディング（ Civil Wedding ）とは、直訳すると「市民結婚式」。宗教にとらわれず、法律上の婚姻の成立に重きをおいた挙式スタイルで、欧米では婚姻届に署名をすること自体が重要なセレモニーとなっています。

December 5th, 2020, I attended my cousin's wedding in my hometown. It was called a special wedding because they have their entourage and requested a Priest to officiate the wedding.
In the Philippines, we have this 2 kinds of wedding, civil wedding and church wedding. Many of my friends decided to have a church wedding but because of the pandemic they had to change the plan and had a civil wedding instead.
I must say that my cousin's wedding was one of the best wedding ceremonies I have attended.
I was one of entourage. From the solemn ceremony in church to the fun party with the lively host at the reception. It was really gorgeous. Of course, we still had to observe the health protocols due to Covid19.
Before we went inside the venue, someone checked our temperature and we needed to sanitize. The number of people was limited. The wedding ended successfully and everyone was very happy. I am so happy for my cousin. Her husband is her first and last boyfriend and I could see the sincerity and love for each other.
It was such a lovely day full of love and joy binding two families together.
